Insane Clown Posse and their Juggalo fans took over a Santa Ana venue last night, covering everything in Faygo.

Detroit’s Insane Clown Posse goes through several hundred liters of Faygo, a cheap soda manufactured in Detroit, at each one of their shows. They spray each other and the crowd, and if you try to hide, soda-carrying clowns will come and find you. The fans of the horror core group, known as Juggalos, don’t seem to mind. It’s like a baptism, really.

The self-described “wicked clowns” took over the Santa Ana Observatory last night. Brave LAist photographer Annie Lesser went to check out the show and meet some Orange County Juggalos—or at least Juggalos who had ventured to Orange County.

Outside, Juggalos were doing some call-and-response chanting as they awaited the show. We suspect a lot of “fam-i-ly” was heard, in addition to favorite lyrics. Lesser noted that many of the fans had DIY outfits and shirts, and that the feeling of community was strong.

Juggalette Jennifer Nieto told Lesser that she had started listening to ICP when she was 14, and she is now 33. She attends every show they play in SoCal and also attends the annual Gathering of the Juggalos in the Midwest. The first day of the festival, she was robbed, but it was okay. Her Juggalo fam took care of her because once you become a Juggalo, you automatically have a family.

Whoop, whoop!
