Juggalette Of the Month: Jessica Larson

“I think I’m most attracted to guys who can appreciate stupid movies and share my crude humor.”

We searched everywhere for the perfect candidate for this months Juggalette of The Month. For some reason the search was harder than ever. We sifted through tons of submission photos and e-mails looking for the right girl to pop out at us both in looks and in personality. It didn’t occur to us that one of the coolest chicks was in plain sight right here in California. Her name was Jessie. Jessie was a girl I had noticed at quite a few shows. The first time was at a DGAF show in Sacramento, CA. I seen her again at a Twiztid show. Then at a Mad Insanity Records event. Then at an Insane Clown Posse show. We smiled and waived again when I seen her at the Gathering Of The Juggalos. I just remember thinking she was the nicest girl I ever met. So it was always nice seeing her at various events. Her manners and politeness was like the way your mother and father would want you to act when your grandparents would come and visit. Except Jessie was like that all the time. We bumped into each other again at the Gathering and this time formerly introduced myself and she was extremely polite and funny to the point where it took me by surprise. Jesse was very quick witted and talked like one of the guys. So to watch her at concerts getting hit on by guys was hilarious. She found humor in blurting out things most people would not expect from a innocent little blonde girl. Nobody stood a chance. She was too quick but never rude at the same time. Most walked away confused. The thing is is Jessie was most comfortable in a t-shirt and blue jeans. Many times Chuck Taylors completed her outfit with a butterfly knife tucked in her back left pocket. She was a tomboy. She was strange in a cute way, and her sick sense of humor drew me in immediately. We quickly became friends. One of the biggest thing I noticed from Jessie was that she wasn’t just some girl that sometimes listened to Psychopathic Records artists and claimed to be down. She had extensive knowledge of everything in the horrorcore scene from backpacker style hip-hop, to West Coast rip-gut and everything in between. Quite amazing.

The fact that she was absolutely beautiful at the same time never really dawned on us because she would often be the one out grossing us out with off beat remarks mid-conversation. So on our search when we finally realized we had a diamond in the rough right in front of us the entire time, we were sure she would tell us to go fuck ourself when we asked her to take pictures in her panties. After a little bit of begging she gave in.

We had heard about an abandoned pool house tucked away next to the Ocean in San Francisco covered in graffiti on the inside. We made the drive but we had to be careful. If you were caught inside of this place you would be arrested. Jessie was all about the risk, and the drive and we set off for the city by the Bay. When we arrived we noticed the entire building was surrounded by a chain link fence and all of the doors and windows of the old pool house were boarded up. Jessie was the first to scale the fence. We followed suit and found that in order to get into the building you would have to go in through the roof that had caved in on one side. Me and our photographer were surprised to see that the task was not one that she would turn down. We climbed through the roof with all of the camera lights and equipment and found the inside was a mecca of urban artwork. Spray cans lined the cement floor as far as the eye could see. It was probably one of the most impressive displays of vandalism I have ever witnessed. When the lighting was set up, Jessie emerged in her black boots, cut off shorts with a lacy black top. Her golden blonde hair blew in the cold damp breeze from the Ocean only 600 feet away. We knew we had made a wise choice. The tomboy we knew and loved had transformed into a model that we couldn’t keep our eyes off of. I called out to her. “Look who is so hot and girlie!” She smiled with her middle finger raised, and quickly replied. “Go fuck yourself.”

How did you first get into the wicked shit?

Well, I think it all started with me hearing Violent J on Loveline god know how many years ago. The funny thing is it wasn’t even their music that drew me in at first. It was just how freaking hilarious this guy was on a radio show! I still have the tape recording from when it was on the air. I made it a point to listen to their music more and sure enough got hooked. They were amazingly creative, funny, and they talked about everything everyone else was too much of a pussy to talk about. It was such taboo for me at the time though, admitting I listened to ICP was like admitting I enjoyed watching donkey shows, it was totally my guilty pleasure. When I seen all the love and acceptance and positive energy between everyone at the 2010 Gathering of The Juggalos I knew I would be down with the wicked shit forever. I had to know everything about it. So I went out and got all of the best horrorcore CD’s I could find. I usually go to all the shows I can and check out new artists and find more stuff to listen to.

Who are your favorite artists to listen to in your car or around the house?

I listen to a wide variety of music. It always depends on my mood or what kind of mood I want to be in. It’s so hard to pick out of everything I listen to. Some of what I listen to is groups like Twiztid, Tech N9ne, GWAR, Black Sabbath, New Found Glory, Blink 182, Andre Nickatina, The Offspring, CKY, Danzig, Insane Clown Posse, Sublime, Bjork, GG Allen, Bloodhound Gang, Nirvana, Gogol Bordello, The Dirtball, Reverend Horton Heat, Blaze, Queen, The Doors, Save Ferris, Potluck, Brotha Lynch Hung, Devin The Dude, Cage, Suicidal Tendencies, god the list goes on. Good music is good music in my book no mater what genre it is. For some weird reason though I have a strange love for 70’s disco music. I can’t really explain that one.

“All walks of life are welcomed and accepted through the common love of music. Being a juggalo is about being yourself and being proud.

Why do you think you can identify with horrorcore music?

I think horrorcore music is amazing for the simple fact that it relates to some of my most deep dark feelings that I would never act on in person. It’s a good way to relive some stress and pent up anger to know that you aren’t the only one feeling like fucking someone up. I love drawing and for me I love to draw gruesome, ruthless shit that I am feeling at the time but have such a hard time drawing without some good music to fit the whole vibe I’m in. It’s so much different than anything else out there. I have a dark sense of humor so I think I can appreciate what some people might find offensive and just think that it is funny.

Whats your favorite thing about being a Juggalo?

I think it’s an amazing feeling to be a juggalo. The best part for me is not feeling judged. That is such a huge part of it for me. At the time when I first got into the whole juggalo scene I was going to school and for me being a girl getting judged and compared to everyone else, whether it be in school or at home was a huge weight on my shoulders. To other juggalos none of that mattered. All walks of life are welcomed and accepted through the common love of music. Being a juggalo is about being yourself and being proud.

What is your most memorable show that you have attended and why?

The 2010 Gathering Of The Juggalos hands down. Anyone who has attended a Gathering I’m sure would have to agree. It’s unexplainable, and half of the shit you see at the Gathering doesn’t even seem real. I’ve been to only one gathering, sad to say, and in those few days I saw everything from Necro Butcher puking all over the place during Bloodymania to multiple people getting hit with a double headed dildo. For me being a little 18 year old girl at the time seemed super scary, but I’ve never felt more loved in my whole life, the Gathering Of The Juggalos has such a good vibe to it. I can’t wait to go back. Next year I will be there.

What kind of guys are you normally attracted to?

I think I’m most attracted to guys who can appreciate stupid movies and share my crude humor. More than anything I love a guy who can be creative and artistic in their own way.  I think that a guy that can draw or sing or create in some way is a big turn on for me. As far as looks.. honestly, creepy. I like the “I just got out of prison” looking dudes… the kind of guys you should probably not introduce to your family. I’m still new to the whole dating scene. It takes a lot for me to open up to people. I tend to avoid situations like that. So a guy that is persistent might get my attention. I’m pretty sure I just described the worst person ever to use this type of information.

What are your biggest turn offs?

I hate cocky lazy assholes. I think people with no drive in life are the least attractive. I don’t like people that rely on you to mother them or the kind of people that you have to remind that you didn’t carry them in your womb for 9 months. Have your own shit going on! I work, you should too. I have hobbies, so should you. If you don’t do anything at all, we probably don’t have anything in common.

If you were to go on a date for the first time, what would be the most ideal place to go to?

I would say anywhere out of the norm, I absolutely love going to creepy middle of nowhere locations to excavate. Nothing more amazing / romantic to me then driving around with good music blasting, getting lost a few times only to find yourself at a treasure of a place to explore together. This place here, is one of those types of places. Its creepy being in here. If a guy I was dating brought me here or some type of place like this, I’d be a little freaked out. That’s exciting. Having them with me to protect me and look around is romantic. In some sort of weird creepy way I guess.
