The Something Else Tour made its last stop in my Home Town of Cedar Rapids, IA on November 2nd, 2013. Local Openers Big Bang opened up with a high energy performance that fit right in with the always huge stage prescense of a Strange Music show. Big Bang should be on your radar, if you have not heard of them, now might be the time to give them a listen.
Ces Cru, Stevie Stone, and Mayday all had huge crowd participation, from a town that rarely sees shows come through any more it was nice to see the turn out and the huge amount of fellow Technicians that are essentially my neighbors.
Tech N9ne and Kali did the usual combined set and of course there was a ton of the Something Else tracks mixed in to the mix, as well as some new stuff from Krizz. Tech was as always on fire, with a unmatched live performance. I’d say make sure to go hit this show, however I caught it on the last tour stop, so if you missed it when it was in your area, you fucked up!
Highlights: Like at the gathering seeing Straight out the Gate, and Fragile both new tracks off Something Else performed live. Kali, Stevie, and Ces Cru hanging out with the fans after the show.
