MUSHROOMHEAD came together when drummer Skinny formed the band as a side project. The band wore masks to go unrecognized, but after only a few shows they developed a rabid and loyal fan base in Cleveland. They released their 1995 self-titled debut album independently and it went on to became an underground hit, which was history in the making because the band really had no proper distribution at the time. Superbuickfollowed in 1996 and M3 in 1999, all released via an underground street effort. After the band felt its image and hyper-melodic, heavy style of music was being diluted by other bands jumping into this space, the band started to change their look to reflect nothing out there.

Universal Records saw the release of XX (a combination of the past independent releases) in 2001. In 2003, XIII was released, spawning the single “Sun Doesn’t Rise” which was featured on MTVHeadbangers Ball and the Freddy Vs. Jason soundtrack. The album also featured the hidden track “Crazy”, a song originally recorded by Seal. The album debuted at #40 on the Billboard Top 200 charts and sold 400,000 copies worldwide. In December 2005, the band signed with the pioneering rock label, Megaforce Records (Metallica, Anthrax, Ministry) and released Savior Sorrow in 2006 and Beautiful Stories For Ugly Children in 2010. In 2014, the band released The Righteous & The Butterfly, which debuted at #20 on the Billboard Top 200, #1 on the Billboard Independent Chart and #1 on the Billboard Hard Rock Chart.
Expect more clips and information to be released leading up to the release of VOLUME III!

Juggalo News Photographer Crimson Chin got a chance to shoot the two shows and rocked it!

ICP’s longtime friend, homie, and JCW wrestling icon the Rude Boy recently underwent triple bypass heart surgery. He’s in a lot of pain and suffering but is taking it day by day and is definitely on the road to recovery. However, as anyone who has ever had to endure the staleness of staying in a hospital for several days can tell you,

THAT SHIT IS EXPENSIVE! And that’s why on February 24 at the Majestic, ICP will be presenting The Rude Boy Benefit Show WITH ALL PROCEEDS BEING DONATED TO HELP PAY FOR RUDE BOY’S MEDICAL EXPENSES AND HELP HIM CONTINUE TO PROVIDE FOR HIS FAMILY WHILE HE IS UNABLE TO WORK.

Check out these amazing shots:

Then he schooled it at the shaggy show to!

As Seen on: Exclaim.ca

As previously reported, everyone’s favourite Detroit-based, face-painted, religiously revered rap duo Insane Clown Posse are launching a Canadian version of the Gathering. Simply called the Canadian Juggalo Weekend, the whoop whoop-up will take place in Calgary this spring. To promote the event, ICP have shared a special new promotional video with Exclaim!

The clip sees ICP members Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J get excessively hyped about their trip to the Stampede Corral on April 7 and 8. Watch the video below.

They also drop some big news — they’ll be bringing the entire Psychopathic Records roster with them on the tour. Yes, that includes appearances from DJ Clay, Blahzay Roze, LYTE, Big Hoodoo and DJ Carlito. The crew was extremely excited about the announcement — so much so, that they all offered us exclusive statements about the trek.

“This will be my first time performing for the Juggalos outside the States, and it means more to me that I can possibly explain,” DJ Clay tells Exclaim! “Juggalos from all over the world come to the Gathering each year and ask me when I’m going to visit their country, and I can never give them a definitive answer … until now! To be a part of Canadian Juggalo Weekend is a huge highlight for me in 2017 and a big marker in my life. Canada fam, I will see you soon!”

DJ Carlito adds, “I’m very thankful to be apart of the history-making first ever Juggalo Weekend, Canadian Style! Canadian Juggalos have waited patiently for us to come and give them their own special weekend. As a music fan I am excited to be rocking one of my favourite countries where some of my favourite artists came out of including Rush, Triumph, Alanis Morissette and others. This will be my first time performing in the Great White North, and I am looking forward to rocking with my Canadian Juggalo family!”

LYTE, meanwhile, says, “I’m super hype about it. Because this is my first time performing in Canada and going out of the country so it really means a lot to me. It’s also a major accomplishment to myself, performing outside the U.S., and I’m looking forward to gettin’ it in with all the Canadian Juggalos that support me, that can’t make it to shows in America. See you soon Canada!”

For Blahzay Roze, the fest is an opportunity to make up for a missed opportunity: “In 2016, I had the pleasure of accompanying the Insane Clown Posse on their Canadian tour but didn’t get a chance to perform. Now I finally get to perform for my beautiful Canadian Juggalo Family, and it’s an honour and a total dream come true! Whoop whoop!”

Finally, Big Hoodoo says, “It’s an honour to come rep for the family, my label, and all Juggalos, I love Canada and can’t wait to bring that Hoodoo Blessing to the Canadian Juggalo Weekend!”

After an eventful show at The Loft in Lansing, MI – ICP & Young Wicked, along with DJ Carlito – perform several songs in a small bar for the after party, which included maybe 100 people.  I was mostly taking still photos, but this is one of my favorite ICP songs, and really wanted to capture a video to share with you guys!!

Juggalo News’ photographer Cherry Bomb interviews Strange Music’s Prozak on the first stop of The Black Ink Tour in New Haven, Indiana, on May 21, 2016 at Carl’s Tavern. We discuss everything from growing up in a haunted house, to musical influences, to dead goats, to touring with Tech N9ne and Twiztid, to the Nikon VS Canon debate. This is a must watch!!
PS I’m usually behind the camera, so I apologize about how awkward I am. Also this is basically the busiest corner of New Haven at 2am apparently, so – there is a lot of background noise & distractions. Prozak handled it like a pro, but the car alarms start to get annoying after about 7 seconds. I promise they do not go on throughout the entire video!! ~Cherry Bomb
